Main Street Bounceback Grant Program

FB INFO 1

We know it takes a lot to start a new business or open a new space. Through the Main Street Bounceback Grant Program, qualifying businesses can receive $10,000 to help get set up in a commercial space.

Applications will be available to download at our program website https://www.nwrpc.com/mainstreetgrant beginning Monday, August 9th, 2021 at 8:00AM CST.

MAIN STREET BOUNCEBACK GRANT PROGRAM AT-A-GLANCE

WHAT IS IT?
The program provides $10,000 grants to businesses moving into vacant commercial spaces. We want to build a solid foundation for the long-term success of our small businesses — and strengthen our main streets and commercial corridors at the same time.

IS MY BUSINESS ELIGIBLE?
New or existing businesses that lease or purchase a vacant commercial space as of January 1, 2021 and before June 30, 2022, are eligible for Main Street Bounceback Grants. Your business will not qualify for grant funds if you are renewing an existing lease or will be vacating a commercial space in Wisconsin to move to another.

Landlords and real estate investment firms that intend to hold the property for investment purposes are not eligible. Businesses that are part of a national or regional chain are also ineligible unless the business is an independently owned and operated franchise.

WHAT CAN I USE IT FOR?
Businesses can use the grant funds for lease or mortgage payments, operating expenses, building repairs, tenant improvements and other qualified expenses. Funds cannot be used on storage spaces or for residential uses.

HOW DO I APPLY?
Main Street Bounceback Grant applications for businesses located in Ashland, Bayfield, Burnett, Douglas, Iron, Price, Rusk, Sawyer, Taylor, and Washburn Counties will be administered, reviewed, approved and funded by Northwest Regional Planning Commission. Application materials will be available to download on Monday, August 9th at 8:00AM CST. Visit our program website at https://www.nwrpc.com/mainstreetgrant to read through the FAQ's and learn more to prepare for the application.

If your business is not located in our region, please view the regional partner contact map to find the contact for your application process. Questions must be directed to your regional contact!
